# James Boswell Postdoctoral Fellowship

The California Institute of Technology and The Huntington Medical Research Institutes announce the availability of an endowed postdoctoral fellowship for collaborative research. This one-year fellowship, renewable for a second year, is open to individuals who recently received their doctorate and are interested in doing research in the areas of interest to researchers at Caltech and HMRI. These areas include, but are not limited to, magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, molecular neuroscience, and medicinal chemistry.

The fellow will have an appointment at Caltech and will work with a member of the professorial faculty at Caltech. The fellow will have an appointment and an office at HMRI and work with several mentors including Kevin King, MD, Director of Imaging Research; Alfred N. Fonteh, PhD, Lipid Biochemistry; Xianghong Arakaki, MD, PhD, Electrophysiology; Michael Harrington, MD (MB, ChB) FRCP, Director of Neurosciences, depending on project chosen.

This one-year appointment, renewable for a second year, provides an annual salary of $58,240 to$60,000, commensurate with the fellow's qualifications and experience. Start date is negotiable but ideally September 1, 2020.

The fellowship is open to postdoctoral scholars with a PhD in their relevant field.

- proposed mentors at both Caltech and HMRI (please indicate if you have discussed it with the mentor),

- one representative manuscript (published or submitted),

- 2-3 letters of reference
