Postdoctoral Fellowship: Neurobiology (Mazmanian Group)
Caltech invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship investigating the gut-brain communications in Huntington's disease (HD). The goals of the projects are to determine the role of gut environment on the oligomerization of mutant huntington protein and to establish a link between intestinal microbes and the progression of HD symptoms.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in neurobiology or closely related field and an interest in interdisciplinary research. Experience with Drosophila and/or mouse models is preferred. The successful candidate should have an exceptional publication record and excellent communication skills. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Position is open immediately.
