Postdoctoral Fellowship: Neurobiology (Mazmanian Group)
Caltech invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship investigating the impact of recombinant antibodies on the “prion-like” propagation and spread of mutant huntingtin assemblies in Huntington's disease (HD). The goals of the projects are to engineer recombinant adeno-associated viruses (AAVs) expressing full-length antibodies, deliver into the CNS of HD mice, examine fibril assembly and spread, and monitor disease progression. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in neurobiology or closely related field with strong background in molecular biology and animal surgery experience. The successful candidate should have an exceptional publication record and excellent communication skills. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Position will open in July of 2019.
Interested individuals should send Curriculum Vitae, list of publications, a brief statement of research interests, and three letters of recommendation directly from scientists familiar with the candidate's work and personal qualifications to Dr. Ali Khoshnan (Khoshnan@caltech.edu)
