Postdoctoral position in Natural and Synthetic Embryology (Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz Lab)
The Zernicka-Goetz Lab at Caltech is seeking highly motivated individuals to work on a research project focused on self-organization of stem cells into embryos to understand cell-cell communication and signalling involved in building mammalian embryos during development in vivo and in vitro. The research combines techniques in molecular biology, cell biology, imaging, stem cell biology and transgenesis in mice.
REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. in molecular biology or cell or developmental biology is required. Strong expertise in molecular and cell biology is necessary. Candidates must have a record of research excellence demonstrated by publication. Applicants who are motivated to develop careers as independent investigators are especially encouraged to apply.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary will be based on the State of California mandated minimum for exempt employees. It is anticipated that the postdoctoral fellow will stay in the lab for 4-5 years to complete the project.
