Postdoctoral Fellowship: Neurobiology
Caltech invites applications for a postdoctoral research fellowship to develop antibody- and gut-based therapies for Huntington's disease (HD). One part of the project involves delivering recombinant antibodies by adeno-associated viruses (AAVs) into the CNS of an HD mouse model and examining effects on disease progression. The other part includes investigating the properties of a prebiotic on microbiota, gene expression and CNS pathology in HD mice. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in neurobiology or closely related field with strong background in cell culture, animal handling and surgery, dissections, tissue preparation and confocal microscopy. Salary and benefits are highly competitive. Position is open immediately.
