Postdoctoral Researcher: Development, Stem Cells and Imaging (Zernicka-Goetz Lab)

Professor Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz at California Institute of Technology (Caltech) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to investigate mechanisms of self-organisation during early mammalian development using mouse and human embryos and stem cells as model systems. Expert knowledge in fluorescent live microscopy (eg. light sheet, 2-photon), image analyses and mouse embryology are required.

Recently the lab developed unique methods for studying embryos and for building embryo-like structures from stem cells (e.g. Bedzhov and Zernicka-Goetz, Cell 2014; Harrison et al Science 2017; Shahbazi et al Nature 2017; Sozen et al, Nature Cell Bio, 2018; Kyprianou et al, Nature 2020). For more information about the lab, please look here: https://zernickagoetzlab.caltech.edu  and http://www.pdn.cam.ac.uk/zernickagoetzlab/

Inquiries regarding this post can be made to Professor Magdalena Zernicka-Goetz (magdaz@caltech.edu) and/or Laboratory Manager, Dr. Clare Reynell (creynell@caltech.edu).
