Memorial for Mahsa Imini - Thursday, September 29, 2023, 6 - 8 PM, Avery Courtyard (293 S Holliston Ave)
A 22-year-old Iranian woman, Mahsa "Zhina" Amini, was murdered due to "improper hijab." Following this, we've seen protests all over Iran and all around the world, condemning this senseless murder as well as all the violations made by the Iranian government against human rights. The Iranian regime has severely limited internet access in an attempt to silence the voices of its citizens.
In light of these events, the Caltech Iranian Community will be hosting a memorial for Mahsa on Thursday, September 29, 2023, 6 - 8 PM at the Avery Courtyard (293 S Holliston Ave). We extend an invitation to you and the entire Caltech community to join us to commemorate the lives lost in the protests and to amplify the voices in Iran.
You can search #MahsaAmini on many social media platforms to follow what is happening in Iran.
