Identify Visiting Appointment Type

Example:

Hi Admin Name,

One of my collaborators, a professor from the University of Washington, will be visiting for the month of January. His name is Wile E Coyote, and his email is: [email protected].

Can you please get the paperwork started?

Thank you,

Sponsor Name

You must answer those questions:

1: What is the position of the visitor at their home institute/organization?
2: Campus visit, remote access only, or hybrid?
3: If campus visit, what is the duration?

Get a clear picture of the visit and collaboration. If your PI does not provide you with the necessary information, ask them (see visitor question checklist)

Tip!

Identifying the appointment type correctly is key to a swift and smooth processing. The questions for Guests, External Affiliates, and Visitors are different. Same if they are remote or on campus. If a request is returned due to the incorrect title/rank, the sponsor and visitor may have to answer more questions and resubmit their forms.
